Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and its members serve three-year staggered terms, except for the standing members. It makes recommendations to the Board on annual scholarship awards to Highlands School graduates from the interest in the Scholarship Endowment Fund.

The Board of Commissioners are elected every four years and generally meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month. The Mayor and Board serve four-year "staggered terms;" that is, the Mayor and two Commissioners are elected in 2009, and three Commissioners are elected in 2011, etc.
ABC Board
The ABC Board is appointed by the Board of Commissioners and its members serve three-year staggered terms. It provides management for the operation of the Town's ABC Store.
