Sanitation Department

Sanitation Equipment Operator

We are seeking a Sanitation Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating sanitation equipment associated with the collection of solid waste on an assigned route.

Considerable knowledge of the operation and maintenance of heavy motorized sanitation equipment.

- Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner (compactor truck, side arm lift, hydraulic lift, dumpster packer trucks etc.) May operator loaders and back hoe as needed.

Working knowledge of the methods and techniques applied in the loading and unloading of garbage, recycling, and refuse along assigned routes.

Ability to communicate effectively with the public to respond to inquiries about collection schedules and waste collection requirements.

Commercial Driver's License required (willing to acquire if do not currently have.)

Starting wage of $17.24 per hour with benefits included:
